Welcome to Yoga for Golfers a 20 Min Yoga flow to help you drive longer.

Today's primary session focus is to help you drive longer.

We will focus on strengthening the legs, core, and supporting muscles for the back. Because as Golfers we swing on only one side of the body we tend to have back injuries.

A good example of this is scoliosis where the muscle imbalance created by using one side of the body can lead to time out of the game.

By continually working on our core - this supports our back muscles, our legs to support and create momentum, within the downswing and overall mobility we will continue to enjoy and play golf for as long as we choose to.

Today's primary session focus is Recovery. In 2014 i cycled the Tour De France course for Charity raising over 3,000 pounds for the William Wates memorial trust who support disadvantaged young people from the ages of 5-19.

The trust encourages disadvantaged and vulnerable people away from antisocial behavior and criminal activity, enabling them to fulfill their potential.

This for me was a massive effort not just in the amount of training that was required to build the endurance but also during the event to cycle over 180kms each day for 21days. A big part of this effort was the work i put into recovery which leaned extremely heavily on my yoga training to complete a flow each day both before cycling and after cycling.

Recovery became one of the most important parts of the event itself. When you are cycling over 12 hour...

Welcome to Yoga for Scoliosis a 20 Min Yoga flow to Straighten your Spine. 

Today's session focus is Scoliosis. The word scoliosis originates from Ancient Greek word ‘skolios’ which means crooked or curved and is an adjective to describe the twists that form when a piece of wood dries. 

A properly formed spine has 3 natural curves; a lordotic curve at the cervical spine, a kyphotic curve in the thoracic spine over the length of the rib cage and lordotic curve at the lumber spine.

Scoliosis is a condition where the spine curves laterally and some of the vertebrae rotate to form either a ‘C’ shape or, in the case of more than one curve, an ‘S’ shape.

Welcome to your 20 min Bedtime yoga flow for a great night's sleep. I have taken carefully selected yoga poses with the ultimate goal of you having the best night's sleep ever. Poses designed to relax the body, increase circulation, and improve the immune system.

Try this sequence right before bedtime and let me know how you go in the comments section on the channel . If you have a wearable you can see if your REM and Deep sleep time have improved. For me these are the 2 factors I check every morning when evaluating my sleep performance.

This class is great for all levels and no props are required but if you want to be even more relaxed a couple of cushions or a rolled-up mat will assist in Supta Baddha Konasana and one of my favorite poses - Viparita Karani.
